We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Qualifed Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in NE24, working within an early intervention role.
This is an excellent opportunity for graduates considering a career in teaching, educational psychology, or child development, offering hands‑on experience supporting young learners at a crucial stage of their education.
About the Role- Provide early intervention support to pupils in EYFS and KS1
- Work 1:1 and in small groups to raise attainment and build confidence
- Support children with additional learning needs and help overcome barriers to learning
- Assist in delivering targeted interventions in literacy, numeracy, and social development
- Work closely with experienced teachers and the SENCO to track progress
- Gain valuable classroom experience in a supportive environment
- A recent graduate (any subject, though Education/Psychology-related degrees are advantageous)
- A strong interest in pursuing a career in education or child-focused roles
- A positive, patient, and proactive attitude
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development
- Some experience working with children (desirable but not essential)
- Ideal stepping stone into teacher training or further study
