HWRC Operative - Blantyre

Biffa is looking for a HWRC Operative to assist the public at our Blantyre Household Waste Recycling Centre with recycling and waste.

Hourly rate: £12.91

Shift pattern

• April to September: Monday to Friday 07:45 to 19:15
• Saturday 07:45 to 18:15
• Sunday 07:45 to 17:15
• October to March: 07:45 to 17:15, 7 days a week

Your Core Responsibilities

• Working with the public to maximise recycling on site
• Manual handling items on site assisting the public with various waste and recycling
• Helping to ensure the site is clean and tidy at all times
• Being proactive in promoting and maintaining a safe and friendly working environment

Our Essential Requirements

• Experience in dealing with the general public
• Good people skills

Experience In The Waste Industry Helpful But Not Essential

• Will be required to work weekends

Essential

• Must have a full UK driving licence
• Must have own transport
