Trainee Teacher (SEN), Billingshurst

We are a fully subscribed, award‑winning special needs school seeking a Trainee SEN Teacher to join our team immediately. The role will support students aged 5 to 19 with complex needs such as Autism, Asperger's, and associated learning difficulties on a 1:1 basis as part of a two‑year training programme to qualify as an SEN teacher.

• Deliver high‑quality teaching and support on a 1:1 basis to enable pupils to progress academically, socially, and emotionally.
• Communicate with parents and carers about pupils' progress and participate in departmental meetings, parents' evenings, and whole‑school training events.

• Childcare or care experience (6 months) – desirable.
• GCSE English and Maths or equivalent.
• A desire to support SEN learners on a 1:1 basis.
• Eligibility to work in the UK.

• Permanent/full‑time trainee teacher role.
• Team Teach training provided by the school.
