Maintenance Plumber, South West London

Maintenance Plumber - 3 months, 220 pd (based on 8 hrs)
Location: Lambeth Hospital
Rate: 220 pd

We are seeking reliable and experienced Maintenance Mechanical operatives with strong mechanical skills to join the Facilities & Estates team at Lambeth Hospital
This hands-on role is ideal for someone with solid plumbing/mechanical knowledge and experience working in a commercial, estates, or healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs), including drainage PPMs, strainer maintenance, and basic pump maintenance
• Work across plant rooms and mechanical infrastructure to ensure smooth operation
• Diagnose and resolve plumbing/mechanical faults independently where possible
• Respond to reactive maintenance requests promptly and professionally
• Follow hospital health & safety and operational procedures at all times

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a maintenance plumber or mechanical engineer
• Basic DBS certificate (essential) or enhanced in date DBS
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Contract Details:

• 3 months
• Rate: 220 pd
• Start: 18/05/2026
