What You Will Do
Undertakestatutory assessmentsfor children with disabilities and their families, ensuring comprehensive evaluations of their needs.
Develop and implementChild in Need, Child Protection, and Care Plans, providing tailored support based on each child's circumstances.
Carry outsafeguarding enquiries and risk assessmentsin accordance with statutory guidance and safeguarding frameworks.
Provide ongoingsupport and interventions to families, promoting the wellbeing and development of children with disabilities.
Collaborate closely withpartner agencies including education, health services, and specialist disability teamsto deliver holistic care.
Attend and contribute tomulti-agency meetings, case conferences, and reviews, advocating for the best interests of children.
Maintainaccurate and timely case records, ensuring high standards of documentation and case management.
Advocate strongly for the needs ofchildren and young people with disabilities, ensuring their voices and needs are recognised.
Promoteindependence, inclusion, and positive outcomesfor children and their families through strengths-based practice.
Requirements
Qualified Social Worker with a recognised Social Work qualification (BA/MA Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
CurrentSocial Work England registration.
Experience withinChildren's Social Care, ideally working with children with disabilities.
Strong knowledge ofUK safeguarding legislation and statutory frameworksrelating to children and families.
Ability to work effectively withinmulti-agency environmentsand manage complex cases.
Excellent communication, assessment, and decision-making skills.
