Teaching Assistant, Abbots Ripton

You will be working with children and young people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder and Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. Your role is to help them learn, develop their abilities and raise their self‑esteem. You will provide support during lessons, assist teachers, and work closely with therapists to support each pupil’s progress. The work involves resilience, dedication, and a commitment to listening to and encouraging the young people you support.

• Ideally you have experience working in a classroom, but if you do not, we will provide the relevant training.
• Must have a genuine passion for supporting children to learn and the impact that can have on their lives.
• Show enthusiasm and an ability to support both teachers and therapists and collaborate effectively with the whole team.
• Resilience and a positive "can‑do" attitude are essential.
