Transport Planner, IP10

Purpose of the position: We are looking for a transport planner, with previous experience in a similar role or logistics background. You will be a part of an energetic team delivering fantastic service to our clients. Key tasks: * Day to day trailer planning (allocating resource and reloading trailers) * Maintaining haulier relationships * Working as part of a team * Maintain and develop a link between customer service and operations * Despatch and tracking of trucks & drivers Skills and competencies: * Excellent communication skills * Experience in similar role or market * Experience in the trucking/haulage industry * Fluent in English * Good knowledge of IT systems * Candidates must be able to demonstrate knowledge in UK geography, driver hours and law, trailer transport, shipping ferry/port knowledge and last but not least UK haulage market Educational background/Work experience: * Higher education - (graduate work - and think level) * Min. 2 years working experience * Min. 2 years industry experience (short sea ro-ro market) preferred We offer: A competitive salary (level will depend on experience and entry level) Private medical care Fantastic working environment
