Senior Network Engineer | Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust, Knowsley

We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer to join our team as part of NHS Informatics Merseyside. The role involves working with cutting‑edge technologies such as network automation, VoIP, wireless, and SD‑WAN to design, implement, and support secure network solutions that enable clinical operations.

• Managing network infrastructure and services to meet the needs of the NHS.
• Providing expert technical support for network services.
• Ensuring network security and compliance with relevant standards and policies.
• Identifying and resolving network issues to minimise downtime and improve performance.
• Collaborating with other IT teams and stakeholders to deliver integrated solutions.
• Proven experience as a Network Engineer, with expertise in Cisco network technologies.
• In‑depth knowledge of network security best practices.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience designing and implementing network solutions in a complex network environment.
