About the Role You?ll be responsible for leading a Two Person Repair Team. Reporting directly to the Network Supervisor you will need to be extremely self motivated with proven ability to motivate both yourself and your team. You?ll need to have exceptional customer service skills, be extremely enthusiastic and have the ability to lead by example in order to promote safe working practice, best practice, whilst driving efficiency and maintaining compliant ways of working Your day to day duties will include: ? Attending gas escapes to locate, make safe and repair as appropriate ? Isolations of Mains and Services where required and necessary ? Meter Control Valves exchanges ? Conducting service checks. ? Syphon pumping, valve repairs, mains/leakage surveys, ancillary work on the network Groundwork ? Excavations and reinstatements ? Utilising appropriate signing, lighting and guarding ? Ensure cable avoidance ? Deliver of equipment and tools where required ? Patrol and plant protection ? Supervising the team ? Programming of escapes for further work ? LP/MP/IP Mainlaying, including working for partner companies as required ? Service laying and connections ? Working on deep excavations up to 2.5m ?
