Electrical Design Engineer, Worksop

We're recruiting for an Electrical Design Engineer to join a multinational engineering and manufacturing business who design and build, bespoke commercial vehicles across a range of industry sectors. The Electrical Design Engineer will design electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic control systems and have the ability to produce schematic drawings of control systems, create engineering parts lists (BOM) and design release documentation. The Electrical Design Engineer will have previous experience from a vehicle build or vehicle modifications company with Drawing/design office experience using AutoCAD 2D CAD systems and knowledge of moving mechanisms involving linkages, pivots and actuators to control. You will also have experience of PLC programming, understand CE and Machinery Directive including safety controls. CANbus control systems and Control loom design is also essential to the role and working knowledge of Electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic schematic drafting standards. Job Purpose: * Work to industry and Engineering standards and practices. * Design of electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic control systems * Programming of PLC's and HMI screens. * Understanding of basic engineering calculations. * Team working/ good communications. * Ability to work to agreed timescales, budgets and constraints. * Ability to work in a multi task environment.
