ESTIMATOR - CONSTRUCTION £35,000pa Corby, Northamptonshire A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Estimator with proven experience on construction projects, for our clients who are one of the UK's largest secondary steel and architectural steel suppliers. based in Corby Northamptonshire. Title: ESTIMATOR Salary: £35,000pa Benefits: 28 days holidays inc BH's, Pension, Free car parking. Location: Corby Duration: Permanent Hours: 8.30am - 5.30pm Monday to Friday Start Date: Immediate The successful candidate will have experience and extensive knowledge of Steel manufacturing & associated installation processes, material components, building regulations and H&S Role/Responsibilities Managing the estimation process on construction projects. Site visits and discussions with key subcontractors. Estimating project costs, assessing materials, labour and equipment requirements. Gathering relevant data from emails, documents and drawings (including scaling from them) to define requirements. Working closely with the director, maintaining records of Quotations. Producing detailed invoices for clients. Providing Risk Assessment and Method Statements A strong work ethic allowing you to deliver on your deadlines. Working to demanding deadlines and manage conflicting demands and various tasks simultaneously The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record from similar sector specific organisation and hold a Construction related Higher National Certificate, Degree or equivalent Construction qualification with 2/ 3 years' of experience, steelworks would be an advantage. The candidate would also ideally have a Solid understanding of estimating, costing principles. Familiarity with construction drawings and the ability to read detail drawings , building regulations and H&S. You will be working as part of a team, possess a strong work ethic with previous UK construction experience. Have experience with face to face client interactions, be diligent with excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
