Design Project Manager, Leeds

About Our Client Our client is a leading engineering consultancy operating both in the UK and internationally. They are engineering partners on a variety of UK water utility AMP7 frameworks specialising in civil engineering of water and wastewater infrastructure and treatment schemes. The Opportunity Our client currently has opportunities for a Design Project Manager to join them in their Leeds office to deliver on a local AMP7 framework. You will help our client to grow their team of experts and deliver projects for most of the UK Water Utility Companies, their Contract Partners and Tier One Supply Chain ranging from simple infrastructure projects to major Water and Wastewater treatment works upgrades. A typical week would include The production and review of technical reports and other outputs Project management of projects Managing and mentoring junior staff Liaising with clients, regulators and stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of project deliverables Ensuring communication with other parts of the business in other offices. Participating in weekly Team calls Competencies Required Essential Civil engineering experience related to water industry projects. This could be related to experience across cleanwater or wastewater infrastructure of non-infrastructure schemes. Ability to work within multidisciplinary teams. Sound technical understanding / capability within project management A proven track record in the delivery of projects Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislative and policy frameworks, available guidance and industry best practice Demonstrate knowledge and/or experience of the financial and technical management of projects The ability to use relevant software packages such as MS Office, MS Project, etc. The ability to communicate in a fluent and positive manner with other team members and to produce reports in plain English. Drive and ability to build client relationships and develop suitable opportunities. Ability to manage others to deliver civil design work packages. Ability to inspire and develop junior engineersQualifications and Accreditation's Required A civil engineering qualification.
