Electrical/Automation Engineer £35-40,000 + OT + Car + Package Dewsbury A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical/Automation Engineer to join a global leader in the provision of packaging and processing technology. Working on an exciting portfolio of projects globally, this role will provide the successful candidate with the chance to work with blue chip clients across the world. The successful candidate will be responsible for design, authoring, testing and commissioning of control systems for packaging machinery. In order to succeed in this position you'll need to be able to demonstrate extensive experience in writing code from scratch for PLC's using Siemens S7 and TIA Portal. You'll also be working on electrical hardware design (using AutoCAD), HMI software, safety systems, inverter/servo motor drive systems, communication/fieldbus networks and technical documentation. Based out of their UK Head Offices in West Yorkshire, and dealing with a global customer network, the successful automation engineer will need to be willing to undertake overseas and UK travel. Previous experience in automated machinery and safety would be beneficial but is not essential. Qualifications/Experience: Educated to HNC/HND or Degree level in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related discipline 5 + years experience of PLC programming, particularly the use of Siemens S7/ TIA Portal Electrical Circuit/Panel Design (using AutoCAD) On site commissioning Assist with the design and planning of solutions and architectures for automation projects. Adaptation of existing projects for both PLC, HMI and Drives. Experience with industrial Bus networks.
