Dealing with electro-mechanical/PLC/Hardware faults and preventative maintenance operations. On site is Electro-mechanical materials handling equipment including - storage and retrieval equipment, conveyors and cranes. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor. Working as part of a team of Multi Skilled Engineers. Responsible for carrying out routine maintenance and inspection, repairs and breakdowns, and planned preventative maintenance. Working on automated storage and retrieval equipment, including conveyors and TGW cranes. As Shift Engineer:- You will report to the Site Supervisor, working as part of a team of 12 Engineers Undertake breakdown maintenance of site automation as required Carry out PPM of automation equipment and first line fixes Complete breakdown reports and shift logs including any issues arising on shift which may have or had an effect on the performance of the site equipment and / or the maintenance department using the CMMS Liaise with production to ensure workload is prioritised correctly Undertake, improvement, repairs and modifications EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Level 3 electrical qualification. Ideally Apprentice trained or C&G or BTEC / ONC engineering related qualifications, or equivalent Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer, ideally with electrical maintenance skills and/or 17th Edition Ideally from a MHE background i.e. cranes, conveyors, sortation and retrieval systems etc Working on PLC controlled machinery is desirable, ideally Siemens S7 Physically fit and able to work at heights Flexible to work a continental style shift pattern of 12 hours days and nights Team Player, Self Motivated with a proactive approach to problem solving Able to work under pressure, and learn and develop on the job BENEFITS Working for a market leader within a rapidly growing industry.
