Principal Structural Engineer, Leicester

Principal Structural Engineer - Leicestershire Our clients are an independent engineering and surveying consultancy with offices based throughout the UK. As they look to move forward post-covid, they are now looking to recruit a Principal Structural Engineer to join their Leicestershire office. They're looking for a Principal level Structural Engineer to play a key role in the long-term development and expansion of their Midlands team. The role will involve undertaking structural design on a wide variety of civil and structural engineering projects across the commercial, residential, industrial and education sectors (projects with vary in value up to £50m). Requirements - Minimum of 7 years' experience - BEng or MEng in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or similar related subject - Ideally chartered or working towards chartership status through IStructE or ICE - Strong design experience and structural analysis skills in all common structural materials (steel, concrete, timber and masonry) - Proficient in relevant engineering design software - Excellent communication and client-facing skills - Experience managing a team of junior engineers - Able to manage own workload and meet project deadlines - Strong report writing skills - Full UK driving licence In return - Competitive salary (negotiable depending on experience) - Professional membership fees paid for - Company pension scheme - 25 days holiday (increasing 1 day per year)
