As an organisation, Leicester Partnership Trust recognises the important of work life balance, achieved through flexibility.We have a Logistics Operative (site based) vacancy based at the Evington Centre, working an average of 34.75 per week over a 4 week rota, shifts are from 8am to either 3.30 or 8am to 4pm and include alternate weekends.The post holder will provide a high quality responsive, efficient and effective patient support service to wards, and departments in LPT NHS Trust acting in a caring and professional manner and working in line with departmental operating procedures.The post will involve working within a team to provide a high quality driver courier / porter service which offers a timely responsive and pro-active service for the movement of patients, internal mail, furniture, materials and equipment within the site.Uniform is provided. A high standard of personal hygiene must be obtained.Please note in cases where a high volume of applications are received for a post, the closing date may be brought forward. Main duties of the job
Job Description Summary (Main duties and responsibilities)The Logistics operative will carry out the following Facilities Management functions:Receipt and Distribution of Healthcare related productsTransportation of linen cages, waste bins / carts in and around hospital environments.Driving of trust vehicles.Patient moves (reception to department or department to departmentDomestic and Reception coverConveyance and movement of patients by wheelchair, trolley, bed etc. including assisting clinical staff to reduce riskMovement of deceased persons complying with Trust Policies and ProceduresTo ensure all waste is collected, transported and disposed of in accordance with Trust Policies and procedures and current legislation.BenefitsCompetitive salary including payments for unsocial hours, Saturday and Sunday enhanced payFree car parkingPaid induction&trainingPension scheme27 days paid holiday plus BHAccess to Blue Light and health service discountsWe are recruiting across various sites and some roles will be mobile therefore may not be suitable for public transport but if you live within Leicester, one of the sites may be within your community.Applicants are asked to bring their photo ID and right to work including proof of address to their interviews.
