£27,000 rising to £28,500

• Conduct audits on fully built machines and those undergoing repair following inspection standard work.
• Record defect information in detail via electronic, manual processes or visual boards.
• Communicate defects clearly to other areas and support personnel as issues arise.
• Participate in defect investigations and projects as required.
• Support and train new team members.
• Keep the work area clean, tidy and safe in line with 5S and total preventative maintenance (TPM).
• Adhere to the company's Health & Safety policy and safe working practice.

• Minimum 6 months of Quality Gate experience at Caterpillar.
• Experience with the Built-in Quality process, reporting defects and root cause analysis.
• Good understanding of assembly operations practices and processes.
• Ability to work closely with others as a team member to achieve agreed goals.
• Self‑motivated, with flexibility to work independently and in a team.
• Highly organised with keen attention to detail.
• Must be flexible and available to support extra hours if required.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A desire to help improve the build quality of our machines.
