Male Waking Night Support Worker, Chesterfield

Male Waking Night Support Worker. Pay: £14.18 per hour (weekly or monthly pay available). Hours: 36 hours per week (3x12 hour shifts). Shift pattern: Monday - Sunday 20:00 – 08:00. Must be a driver with access to your own vehicle. This role is part of a mixed‑gender team providing 2:1 support to an adult in Chesterfield who has mild learning disabilities, a schizophrenic personality disorder, ADHD and other mental health needs. The candidate should be able to connect while offering consistent, structured support.

• Supporting daily living tasks while promoting independence
• Assisting with financial management (all spending requests go through the team)
• Encouraging healthy routines, boundaries, and positive decision‑making
• Supporting mental health needs and responding appropriately to challenging behaviours
• Building rapport through shared interests such as music, fitness, or social activities

• Calm, resilient and consistent in your approach
• Non‑judgemental and supportive, even when the person makes unwise or risky choices
• Able to mentor and guide someone with impulsive or challenging behaviours
• Passionate about helping people build structure, confidence and independence
• Someone who can engage on a personal level through shared hobbies or interests
• Previous work within mental health services, particularly with personality disorders
• Experience supporting people with learning disabilities
• Background in managing or guiding individuals with risky or impulsive behaviours
