We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Project Engineer. This role combines project management responsibilities with technical design coordination, managing projects from point of sale through to completion while ensuring the accuracy and quality of CAD drawings for client approval and fabrication.

The ideal candidate will have proven project management experience, a good understanding of architectural drawings and construction principles, and proficiency in CAD software. Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate effectively between clients, surveyors, and internal teams are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Initiate and manage projects from receipt of deposit/sale through to completion.
  • Take ownership of project timelines, coordination, and delivery.
  • Collaborate with clients to finalise outstanding design and architectural details.
  • Review architectural drawings and ensure designs align with site conditions and specifications.
  • Arrange surveys, ensuring sufficient aperture completion, access, and site safety.
  • Analyse completed surveys and organised notes for technical and design reviews.
  • Collect and organise all relevant documentation, including aperture details, floorplans, and access information.
  • Ensure all project information is accurate, complete, and ready for CAD processing.
  • Produce and oversee high-quality CAD drawings using 2D AutoCAD and Logikal software, with occasional use of 3D CAD where required.
  • Manage and distribute projects within the CAD team as needed.
  • Review colleague drawings to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Present and discuss approval drawings with clients, ensuring full understanding and sign-off.

Essential Criteria:

  • Proven experience in project management, ideally within a technical, construction, or manufacturing environment.
  • Good understanding of architectural drawings, detailing, and building processes.
  • Experience using 2D AutoCAD for technical drawings.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and build strong client relationships.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience using Logikal software (or similar window/door design software).
  • Exposure to or experience with 3D CAD software.
  • Previous experience in the windows and doors industry.
