Laboratory Manager, Norfolk

My client is the market leader within the UK and manufactures and exports a unique range of plant products to over 60 countries worldwide. If you are a Team Leader or a Supervisor in a Laboratory and you are looking for that next career opportunity , this could be the position for you Key Duties: * Compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 and other laboratory accreditations * Administration of LIMS * Development and validation of analytical methods * Supervise technical or laboratory staff and monitor performance * Involved with capital expenditure purchase decisions * Maintain laboratory staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees, etc. Candidate Profile * The candidate will ideally have a degree in Chemistry or a related field * Good background & understanding of Analytical Chemistry and ISO17025 * Ideally a background in fertiliser and/or soil analysis * Experience of ICP-OES and Segmented Flow Analysis (CFA) * Ideally a minimum of 5 years? experience working in a busy, industrial laboratory * They must be able to work competently, and independently once training has been given. * The candidate must be self-motivated and have a desire to develop their job role to suit the company needs. Previous laboratory experience is required but may be in the form of either work based experience, or a strong academic background; however, full training will be given on laboratory protocols and the use of specialist equipment.
