Specialist Doctor - Inpatient Detox - North West England OR North Wales - up to £90,000 per annum, fte, subject to experience. A leading provider of drug and alcohol addiction treatment are seeking a Specialist Doctor to join them on a newly won contract. This could be either; 1 x Doctor to cover North West England, 1 x Doctor to cover North Wales, both part-time OR 1 x Doctor to cover both areas, full time. A salary up to £90,000 per annum (full time equivalent) depending on experience is being offered. Part time hours are 1 session, per day. You will possess current full registration with GMC, Full UK JCPTGP certification or completion of training in general practice OR MRCPsych. RCGP Part 2 Certificate in the Management of Substance Misuse in General Practice is also ideal, or at least 3 years experience in an equivalent treatment environment. Your responsibilities will include: - providing specialist Drug and Alcohol Recovery Services for the Residential detox unit. - undertaking the necessary admin duties associated with the care of your patients and the running of the medical service input to the contract. - undertaking clinical audit and attending Clinical Audit Meetings as appropriate. - assisting in the acceptance of referrals from other agencies and the processing of that information. - ensuring the smooth running of the service provision and clinical sessions. - taking a lead role in planning and implementing changes within the area of care and responsibility. - overseeing the duties undertaken by all members of the team and assist with training and mentoring as and when required
