LGV 1 / HGV 1/ Class 1 Driver, Tamworth

Kenect Recruitment are proud to be recruiting for our clients based in Tamworth - The LGV 1 Drivers will be needed for Afternoon / Night shifts Our customer is Home Bargains so the work is collection from a Amesbury Depot and deliver to stores, normally one store , occasionally 2 stores on a trailer. All stores in the midlands area. Shifts are 10-12 hrs long. Drivers need to understand delivery is roll cages which they must do via a tail lift delivery, so quite a bit of handballing of cages - driver must be fit and able to do this (No previous ailments that may pose a health risk to them) Advantageous - if drivers have Tail lift and double deck experience - Full Job Description We are currently seeking Afternoon/Night LGV 1 Drivers.... Shift pattern - 4 on /4 off or 5 on/3 off currently Benefits: - Regular overtime available - Full job training provided - Full company uniform provided - Fleet consists of new Mercedes Actros vehicles. Role Requirements: · Delivery of roller caged goods via tail lift delivery, safely to the customer stores · Ensure daily vehicle checks are completed in line with company procedure · Responsible for filling in the customer check sheets and report any defects to Office Team · Responsible for keeping the depot informed of any issues during the shift · Make deliveries to customers' premises, acting in a professional manner at all times, and observing site rules. · To act in a responsibly and safely responsibly on the road and customer premises at all times · Driving in a fuel-efficient manner · Able to move roller cages from vehicle to store, via use of a tail lift. · Be able to communicate well at store delivery points. Knowledge and Experience required: · Should have at least 1 years proven experience in driving articulated vehicles and have good geographic knowledge of UK roads · Hold an LGV C+E licence with an up to date CPC qualification · Possess a working knowledge of EU Drivers Hours Regulations and the Road Transport Directive regulations governing working time Pay Rates are £120.00 (Plus Holiday) PAYE - £140.00 LTD Per Day if you feel you are suitable please call (phone number removed) or apply to be offered an assessment.
