SYSTEMS DEVELOPER | LIVERPOOL | £45,183 Your new company A leading Housing Association with over 40,000 homes across the North West. They employ over 1500 staff and are an accredited Investor in People. Your new role You will be responsible for the management, development and continuous improvement of the clients business applications and websites. In addition, you will support ICT systems projects as identified in the ICT Strategy and ensure applications deliver accurate, timely and measurable information. Responsibilities: * Lead the development and maintenance of web-based sites and applications * Develop workflow processes which match business requirement and application specifications. * Actively introduce and improve processes, procedures and best practices for web development * Define the architecture and develop the detailed technical design for incorporating legacy and other applications into the customer web portal. * To deal with day to day application/web related issues within the ICT team, providing support to staff, customers and stakeholders. * Build and develop an infrastructure to support software development, testing environments and hosting of applications as necessary * To take a proactive approach to ensure the needs of the business and users are being met by promoting an active ICT learning environment within the group, * To provide high quality ICT services to managers, staff and other customers within a culture of openness, participation and performance. * To contribute to the compliance with all ICT policy statements and procedural manuals with special reference to ISO27001, system security ensuring they are kept up to date and meet statutory requirements. * Ensure that H&S policy and procedures are adhered to and embedded to deliver effective and safe services and operations. * Apply and embed fairness and equality in both the delivery and offer of all services, to ensure that all staff and customers are treated fairly, to meet an individual's personal circumstances. What you'll need to succeed * Degree level education or equivalent relevant IT development experience * Proven experience of development of applications/websites in a large complex organisation * Have experience of all or some of the following: * Some form of relational database - Progress / SQL / MySQL * Web programming experience, including PHP, Java, Javascript, HTML * Understanding methods of communication which includes SOAP and REST * BPM Toolkit * Track record of transforming business processes to improve business performance, based on intelligence led data and strong project management skills. * Have knowledge of ICT security and auditing requirements. Also demonstrate responsibility when dealing with confidential or sensitive data. * Passionate, committed and self-motivated to inspire others to change. * Experience working in an agile environment # * Demonstrate experience of writing and delivering training courses, based on identified training needs as well as one to one coaching.
