CNC Miller, Bury St. Edmunds

We are looking for a CNC machinist who can program, set & operate 3 axis CNC mills. The following position is for an engineering firm who have been operating within Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk for the past 40 years. You will be responsible for a 3 axis CNC Mill which you will be expected to operate, set & program using Fanuc controls. Knowledge of FANUC is not essential, but you must have programming experience on another system. If you have previous programming experience on FANUC controls, then you would be at a distinct advantage. We are not interested in candidates who have only turning experience. To be considered for this role you must have previously worked as a miller on 3 axis CNC mills, ideally with 5+ years' industry experience. The parts you will be producing can vary from large scale batch work to one-off pieces so you will need to be confident in your ability as well as able to work independently. The company are ideally looking for someone who is looking to progress in their career and could step up into a charge hand / supervisory position. Working hours are 07:00-16:45 with an earlier finish on a Friday! The company are prepared to offer a competitive salary, subject to the applicant's experience.
