Deputy Manager ? Residential Care Home At our beautiful site in Matlock, we offer 24 hour residential care for adults and older people who have a range of complex needs. The Role ? To act as a senior professional person within the staff team, supporting less experienced staff members and acting as an appropriate role model ? To ensure that the care and support provided to the residents is of the highest quality and that all needs are met, supporting the individual in achieving their full potential ? To an active role in ensuring that all residents are safeguarded ? To assist in the development, implementation and monitoring of individual and person-centred care plans ? To promote the health and welfare of residents, ensuring all health needs are met ? To assist as required in undertaking and reviewing required risk assessments ? To ensure detailed and accurate records are kept on the resident files, and that they are distributed to interested parties as appropriate ? To oversee the recording and report writing of staff, and ensure that they are of an acceptable standard ? To take a part in ensuring an open culture is created, whereby residents and their families feel that they can raise concerns and that they are listened to ? To provide leadership, guidance and management to staff, particularly in the absence of the Home Manager We require: ? A commitment and desire to work with older people ? A caring nature with a focus on promoting privacy and dignity ? Experience in residential care ? A level 3 qualification in Adult care ? A recognised management qualification of Level 3 or above We Offer: ? Opportunities for salary progression ?
