With a strong pipeline of work and a reputation for delivering schemes up to £2 million in value, they are known for their professionalism, repeat client base, and consistent project delivery.The Role As Building Estimator, you will play a key role in the pre-construction team, preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for general building projects valued up to£2 million. You will be involved from early enquiry stage through to tender submission, working closely with commercial, design, and operational teams to ensure robust pricing and successful bid outcomes.As Building Estimator, you will be responsible for: Preparing detailed cost estimates for general building projects up to£2m Analysing drawings, specifications, and tender documents Liaising with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive quotations Producing Bills of Quantities and pricing schedulesAssessing project risks and identifying value engineering opportunities Supporting bid submissions and tender presentations Working collaboratively with project and commercial teams Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of market rates and construction methods The Ideal Candidate The successful Building Estimator will have:Proven experience in estimating within the construction or general building sector Strong understanding of building methods, materials, and sequencing Experience pricing projects up to£2 million in value Excellent numerical and analytical skills Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specificationsStrong negotiation and communication skills A proactive, detail-focused approach to work What's on Offer Competitive salary of£60,000 - £65,000 Company pension scheme Holiday entitlement plus bank holidays Career development and progression opportunities Supportive and experienced commercial team environmentStable pipeline of secured regional projects Apply: If you're interested in this opportunity, then please get in touch today with our Commercial Specialist, Mark Harris.
