FDS Recruitment is currently seeking a Fire Alarm Service Engineer in Surrey and surrounding areas Our Client is a BAFE accredited family business providing maintenance services for commercial and residential management companies andprivately managed developments across Surrey and the home counties. Our client covers the whole spectrum of fire services including emergency lighting, door entry and fire alarm systems. They have continually expanded their ability to cover the vast range of required services and due to the increase in workload our client is looking to recruit a fire service engineer. Experience and good knowledge in the Fire Alarm industry is essential for you to be a successful candidate for this position. You must be confident in your work, reliable and hardworking. Fire Alarm Service Engineer Qualities * Positive, self-motivated and proactive individual * The ability to operate effectively under pressure to rapidly changing circumstances * Well organised team player * Keen to get the work completed with enthusiasm * Excellent customer care skills Your day to day duties will include routine and reactive service/maintenance of fire alarm systems, emergency lighting and smoke vents. Experience and good knowledge in the fire alarm industry is essential for you to be considered for this role and previous electrical experience would be ideal. Due to the array of fire services our client covers, familiarity with wireless systems, automated gates, door entry systems or fire extinguishers would be beneficial. There is NO call out rota. You will be supported and receive continuous training along the way. The main fire safety systems used include Kentec and Morley. A solid work ethic is vital and you must be a motivated team player, keen to work hard and demonstrate strong knowledge and experience within the fire alarm field. Fire Alarm Service Engineer Essential Knowledge and Experience * Good knowledge and understanding of BS 5839 (Desired) * Good knowledge of industry leading manufacturers including Kentec and Morley * Electrical background * Ability to fault find accurately * Must have Drivers Licence and be willing to travel * Covering Areas ? mainly south east, Surrey but also other home counties and further afield In return you will receive * Basic salary up to £33,000 per annum * Overtime * Company van * NO CALL OUT * 20 days holiday (plus 8 bank holidays) * Pension * Mobile phone * Uniform * Great career progression
