Lift contract manager, London

Lift Contract manager position to work for The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. Offering up to £52,200 Your new company This department is responsible for housing, communities and improving the lives of residents. This includes landlord services and estate management, planning, refurbishment, and advice and support to help maintain healthy and safe homes. A significant part of our work is focused on creating stronger communities, by working together with residents on recovery following the Grenfell tragedy. In response to London's affordable homes crisis, we are committed to building more social housing to help people on lower incomes to live, work, and raise their families in the borough. Our housing team also work closely with affordable housing providers and other agencies to manage homelessness and give support to older residents to live independently. Your new role To undertake service contract management, surveying duties, and contribute to the delivery of an effective professional technical service within the Resident Safety Team (Contracts & Compliance) To lead the provision of professional technical support and advice on the physical condition of service installations across the range of Facilities Management services and provide support on the development of maintenance programmes and the effective management of associated contracts and budgets. Assist the Procurement Manager with the production of tender documents for planned maintenance and replacement programmes, and the efficient and effective delivery of contracted services. Undertake condition surveys, specifications of planned maintenance works and planned replacement as required in order to support the planned preventative maintenance programme. Ensure that RBKC meets its statutory obligations in all areas of work covered within the scope of the role. To drive delivery and manage performance of respective contractors through holding monthly performance reviews, producing minutes, highlighting actions and evidencing their close outs. Provide monthly KPI's, evidencing the management of the respective contracts in adherence to RBKC's and statutory requirements. To be able to report and manage all aspects of the budget expenditure associated with the servicing & maintenance domestic/communal gas and water contract's, in line with the RBKC's expectations circa £1M annually. To assist in delivering a capital investment programme of communal boilers circa £2M and domestic up to £1M. To be up to date on all technical and regulatory changes and ensure that this is mirrored through the working practices of RBKC in terms of delivery and specifications. What you'll need to succeed Relevant Qualifications/experience in contract management or similar (e.g. ACS) Experience working in a Social Housing environment. Proven track record of service contract management and administration. Knowledge and experience understanding specifications. Knowledge of all legislation, (LOLER), COPS, including service assessments and schedules.
