Senior User Experience Designer, London

Ruby Labs Ltd (RL) is a fast-growing start-up established in London in 2018. RL operates the biggest astrology mobile app with the mission to educate people by simplifying astrology for greater awareness, and on its track to launch the mobile fitness app in early 2021. We are looking for a talented User Experience Designer to be able to measure and optimise applications to improve ease of use, and create the best user experience by exploring many different approaches to solve end-users' problems. As a UX designer you should make sure our users are never lost in the experience, enjoying discovering and getting information through the app. If you are comfortable with understanding complex workflows, exploring different design concepts based on various use cases and gaining data, also you can define and run A/B tests and run interviews with the users, you're the one we're looking for! Requirements We're scaling quickly, which means that the focus and responsibilities of any position can be quite dynamic - but here's how we initially see your skills and passion coming to life at RL: Essential Be proactive in product improvements and identify new product ideas and opportunities Use industry techniques like personas, journey maps, diagramming, etc. Synthesize and extract insights from data to identify an experience pain point and possible opportunities Ship, measure, and improve your designs based on quantitative and qualitative feedback Brainstorm and iterate with your design colleagues to help raise the bar on the whole Company experience Measure the impact of design through monitoring key metrics of project/product Effectively communicate and collaborate with data scientist and PM to extract insights from numbers Design the architecture of the functions and information of the experience Ability to conduct user interviews and surveysQualifications Minimum 5+ years designing and shipping mobile products designing across different platforms Adept at identifying and translating user needs and business requirements into thoughtful user experiences The ability to effectively take direction and work both collaboratively and autonomously A portfolio showing your high quality and detailed User Experience Design work Attention to details and ability to manage and lead multiple projects simultaneously Ability to understand the problem, user pain points and user needs Ability to think experience as a not sequence of screens or one flow, but understand coherent experience as a wholeBenefits The Opportunity You will be joining a strong team of ~40 people passionate about building the best-in-class product.
