Senior Quantity Surveyor, Woolwich

Fawkes & Reece are working with a successful and well regarded main contractor that has a requirement for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to oversee two schemes based in the South London region. This will be a site-based position working on a major residential new build scheme that is set to run for the next 7 years. The scheme involves the construction of multiple RC frame blocks and will be worth in the region of £380 million in total. You will report into a site based Managing Surveyor and will be responsible for other seeing the junior members of the team. You will be involved in everything from procurement, management of sub-contractors, issuing contracts, managing payments and handling variations right through to final accounts. The suitable candidate will have a strong main contracting background, with the ability to demonstrate a proven track record of successfully working on major projects. You will be well versed in working on new build schemes with knowledge of different construction types.
