Regional Engineering Design Manager, London

Employed as a Regional Design Manager you will join a highly successful business who develop and operate hyper-scale facilities (60 MW plus), in partnership with some of the world's leading technology firms. The position offers the opportunity to join an extremely well-funded business with a unique proposition, that differs from traditional co-lo offering, at a stage where they are set to significantly expand their global portfolio having already established operations in Europe & Asia. The role Focused on the very front end of hyper-scale datacentre development you will bring a M&E Engineering expertise to the land acquisition program, acting as client-side technical stakeholder in the development and delivery of their land acquisition program. This will require you playing a key role in the strategic expansion of site selection through: technical strategy implementation, technical process development & implementation of their standard datacentre design. This will include undertaking responsibilities to include; Leading front-end design and technical due diligence during site acquisition process, Provide leadership to external design, utility, due diligence and environmental teams, Contribute to technical innovation developing new business strategies, Lead the early test fit design development, planning, utilities and site design, What's required? With a strong commercial acumen you will understand the impact of technically led decisions, and possess experience in costing and financing of datacentre development, You will possess experience working for a datacentre provider or datacentre owner with clear experience in the delivery of datacentre projects from an engineering design perspective, Proven ability in leading technical workshops and meetings with supply chain and customers, Able to demonstrate understanding of technical constraints of land due diligence and risk impacts, What's on offer A highly competitive salary circa £115,000 plus a comprehensive package the incorporates; Car allowance to £7,500 Bonus 1st year 10%, 2nd year 20%, 3rd year 30% Private healthcare both individual and family, Share scheme, Pension, Home working available
