Senior Schemes Underwriter Salary dependant upon experience Hours: 8am - 4pm/9am - 5pm/10am - 6pm Location: Sutton Are you a Senior Underwriter? Do you have an awareness of all commercial classes of business? Are you insurance qualified? Then this could be the role for you! We are currently recruiting for a Senior Underwriter to join a successful and rapidly growing Commercial Insurance company. Ideally you will have worked for an Insurance Broker and a have an awareness of all commercial classes of business. Responsibilities will include: To review new and existing scheme business ensuring to act within binder authority set by insurers. Alongside this, also assist in working with insurers to write risks which fall outside of standard acceptance) Sign off referrals Check quotations and documentation Take an active role in the internal audit programme To be involved in the development of new and existing schemes including competitor analysis Provide guidance/training to staff through daily queries and regular workshops and training sessions Assist and guide existing Assistant Schemes Underwriter Provide assistance with new key customers - maintaining and developing relationshipCandidate qualities: Strong IT skills including experience with OpenGI System as an advantage Minimum of 5 years in Commercial Insurance Underwriting from either an Insurer, Insurance Broker or MGA Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy Strong communication skills and able to build relationships with brokers and clients Confident in applying rating and terms Ability to think outside the box Organisation If you think this role is for you, please apply or call Stephanie on (phone number removed) Please note that no terminology in this advert is intended to discriminate on the grounds of a person's gender, marital status, race, religion, colour, age, disability or sexual orientation.
