Working on behalf of a Local Authority, Aatom Recruitment has an excellent opportunity for a Children Services Experienced Social Worker on a 2 months contract with a possibility of an extension. Main purpose of post This job is to cover for maternity leave possibly for 1 year contract. The ideal candidate will be responsible for tracking all CSE related referrals, monitoring practice and providing case consultation. You will Chair some Complex Strategy Meetings and provide support and guidance to managers when needed in strategy meetings, and safety planning meetings. The CSE Co-Ordinator is responsible for reporting on CSE work to the MASE panel and the LSCB YPaR Sub group.You will work closely with the Missing Co-Ordiantor and the police and will be involved in organising the MASE and MACH panels. Support will be provided to help you adapt to this role and you will be given a full handover Responsibilities To be an active member of the appropriate LSCB CSE subgroup and contribute to the implementation of any board recommendations or actions To oversee all CSE referrals allocated to Team Managers for the initial strategy meeting and challenge any subsequent safeguarding decisions made when necessary To liaise with the designated officer/agency for children 'Missing' and ensure the appropriate risk assessment is undertaken for those identified as being at risk of CSE To liaise with all social care staff including senior management and Independent Reviewing Officers on open CSE cases providing advice and guidance in line with established protocols and procedures and ensure compliance in safeguarding children in line with established thresholds To lead on and effectively monitor local operational CSE procedures and protocols and make recommendations for improvement To contribute to local and national policy and strategy development and implementation To develop and maintain relationships with key partner agencies (including schools) and the local community to promote awareness of CSE within the borough via the delivery of specialist training including recognising and responding to CSE To collect, collate, analyse and monitor local CSE data including perpetrators, victims, trends, locations and hotspots and contribute to any local and national research To identify barriers to an effective multi-agency response to CSE and escalate to the MASH, the LSCB sub-group and the MASE panel To establish a professional relationship with other CSE Co-ordinators in neighbouring boroughs and share information on a need to know basis about young people identified as victim or perpetrators or about local trends, locations and hotspots To develop and maintain a central database containing data from referral, allocation, interventions and outcomes and provide a monthly report to the DCS and Director of CSC highlighting any high risk cases To address any strategic decisions, recommendations or action plans following Ofsted inspections, LSCB strategic decisions and local performance management dataTo get more information about this role and how to apply please contact Aamina (phone number removed)
