SEMH Teaching Assistant to start ASAP Full-Time, Worthing

SEMH Teaching Assistant ? Worthing Supply Desk are recruiting for Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH) Teaching Assistant for special needs schools in Worthing. Following the recent government announcement of schools receiving an additional £1 billion of funding for catch up programmes, Supply Desk are anticipating a high demand for SEMH support staff to support in transition and intervention for our schools on a long-term basis for ASAP. As an Specialist SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting children across Key Stage 3 and 4 with tailored intervention programmes. You will communicate with the regular subject teacher and Head of Department identifying students who will benefit from the additional support. You will devise and deliver intervention programmes in line with the curriculum and will also be responsible for the assessment. You could be supporting on a 1:1 basis, however, it is anticipated that you will be working with small "bubbles" of children. Supply Desk has identified that minimum requirements for this role are: · UK experience and/or experience in long-term positions with similar age groups and needs · Passion for Teaching and Learning · Able to provide two years? worth of employment references Own transport is essential for this role.
