LGV/HGV Technician, Ponders End

LGV/HGV Technician Introduction We are currently looking for an experienced Technician to join our client, Enfield Council. Ideally the successful applicant will have a strong Mechanical background with at least 2 Years? experience. Main Responsibilities URGENT ROLE This role is to undertake comprehensive periodic Vehicle safety Inspections, Servicing, Maintenance and Repair function across a range of items, including: * To undertake the service, repair and maintenance of vehicle, plant and equipment in accordance with legislative and health and safety requirement. To undertake vehicle testing in line with VOSA regulations. To ensure that all maintenance work undertake is completed effectively, efficiently and is of a high standard of quality. - * Preparing and present vehicles and plant for MOT and Plating tests and carry out MOT?s on behalf of the Council as required once fully qualified. ALL applicants must: * City & Guilds Level 3 certificate or equivalent (Technician) * Clean driving licence category B preferably with D and/ or C * Good understanding of fleet vehicles * Approved MOT vehicle tester - desirable * Experience of undertaking maintenance and repair of a large municipal fleet of vehicles and plant * Ability to complete timed vehicle repairs & inspections using our new computerised systems.
