Estimator - Berkshire, Silchester

JOB- Estimator  LOCATION- Berkshire TERM- Permanent SALARY- Dependent on experience £50,000 - £65,000 per annum approx. (please advise what you?re looking for) plus Company Car My client work within Civil Engineering & Groundworks, and they are looking to take on an experienced Estimator on a permanent basis, in the Berkshire area. The Estimator will ideally have the following attributes: Previous experience working within the Construction industry in a similar QS / Estimator role for at least 2 years or more (Roadworks, S278, Drainage Schemes etc. experience would be desirable but not essential) Ideally be proficient with using Computer Estimating software such as Conquest or Valesco or similar Have the ability to work well alone as well as part of a team Excellent communication skills both verbal and written Be confident to help build relationships with their clients Good time management skillsThe Estimator (Civils) role will involve: Carrying out the estimating and bidding process Composing competitive proposals for clients Providing cost sheets for labour, plant and materials Using estimating computer software on a day to day basis as well as developing and maintaining this Pricing the bill of quantities Reviewing tender information Take off and measuring from specifications and drawings to provide the bill of quantities Presenting the tender / quotation to Directors for review before final submission and ensuring this is submitted on time Liaising with the Buyer regarding materials and pricesIf you are interested in this position, please apply with an up to date CV as soon as possible, along with your availability and your salary expectation
