Senior Cloud Engineer - AWS - London / Remote - Up to £80,000 + Great Benefits A forward-thinking fintech business located in heart of London are on the lookout for a skilled Senior Cloud Engineer to take responsible for the strategy, design, development and implementation of large-scale AWS projects. This is the chance to make immediate impact on the businesses' growth and IT operations. You'll get to work with some of the most exciting and developing areas such as data science and cyber security, in a collaborative and innovative environment working on serverless solutions within the AWS cloud and empowering the DevOps spirit. Due to the current climate, the position will initially be a remote role, with the plan to move back into the business' vibrant London office in early 2021. The Role As the Senior Cloud Engineer, your daily duties to achieve this will include, but won't be limited to: Participating in all aspects of the software development life cycle for AWS solutions Identifying and implementing optimal cloud-based solutions Defining and documenting deployment and infrastructure best practices and strategies Providing guidance, thought leadership and mentoring to development teams building cloud competencies Implementing and supporting technology stacks for various engineering projectsAbout You The ideal candidate will have strong experience of cloud-based tech, with knowledge of emerging technologies, platforms and applications, and the ability to customise them. As the Senior Cloud Engineer, you will have a deep understanding of AWS, including system architecture, design and development, combined with knowledge of Python, Version Control tools, Docker, TDD and Agile. For this role, you will need to show excellent leadership skills with the ability to be collaborative in your approach and communicate with both technical and non-technical colleagues. You will have a can-do attitude and a passion for technology, thriving in an innovative environment staying up to date with the technologies and trends.
