WinOps Engineer - SME - Hedge Fund - Central London I am working with one of the most technically advanced hedge funds in London who are looking for a Windows DevOps Engineer with consummate experience in Automation (PowerShell), the Windows Domain (AD, DHCP, DNS etc) and DevOps tools to advance their environment from Octopus to Openshift containers. They have grown their team by over 50% this year hiring from the best companies from Google DeepMind to Apple with an ever growing team of talented technologists. You will be the Subject Matter Expert in Windows DevOps in the firm with petabytes of data, complex systems both in Azure and AWS as well as on premise infrastructure in highly available systems. Skills needed for the Role: Essential: Working knowledge of the Windows platform and how to automate it using PowerShell scripting from scratch Someone who is not afraid of getting involved at all levels from 3rd line infrastructure to DevOps project work. An engineer who is flexible in their mindset and solution based in the approach.Making you stand out as a candidate: Knowledge of the Cloud namely Azure or AWS though someone with good on premise experience who wants to learn could be interesting. Strong knowledge of container platforms - they use Openshift heavily though other experience may be transferrable. Have worked with CI/CD tools with their main uses being Octopus Deploy, TeamCity, Ansible and more. Infrastructure as a Code is becoming widespread across their stack and someone who can help evangelise Terraform will be useful.
