Senior Geotechnical Engineer, London

Senior Geotechnical Engineering job opening within Central London, for a medium size engineering consultancy. Your new company The company are a multi-disciplinary consultancy being experts in Civil, Structural and Geotechnical Engineering, which includes tunnel design, bridge design, and highways working across a vast number of sectors including residential, commercial and industrial work. They offer clients a range of engineering skills civil which cover project life cycle from initial concept through to completion of the project, servicing on flood risk assessments (support through the planning process, zero to landfill, BIM capabilities and compliance) structural and transportation highways. Your new role You will be joining as a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, tasked with managing components of geotechnical projects to aid growth in the business. You will have plenty of stakeholder and client interactions, and will be sharing your experience with junior members of the team. You will be preparing geotechnical calculations, drawings, specifications as required in line with client standards and national codes. What you'll need to succeed You will have prior geotechnical engineering experience, within the private sector, and you should have experience at carrying out various calculations and designs, including foundations, retaining walls, and slope stability assessments. Although help and support will be provided, you should be reaching a level where you're fairly comfortable being given a task and working on it without supervision. You will be proficient with various software, including VDISP, WALLAP, SLIDE, SlopeW and others.
