Childcare Lecturer, South Croydon

Childcare Lecturer College location: John Ruskin College (Selsdon, Croydon) Salary: £24,321 - £34,625 (Subject to qualifications, skills and experience) and pro-rated accordingly Hours: Part Time (2.5-3 days a week) We are seeking to appoint an inspirational and talented Lecturer in Childcare to join our friendly and professional teaching team. Successful candidates will be highly motivated, possess exceptional organisational skills, work well with colleagues and have a creative and innovative approach to enthuse our students to succeed. Candidates must have experience of delivering BTEC Childcare as well as other childcare programmes, hold relevant industry and teaching qualifications. The successful candidate must have: * A teaching qualification (ideally at Level 5) * A Childcare qualification (preferably at Degree Level) * Experience working within the Childcare industry * Previous experience teaching BTEC Level 2-3 * Experience of preparing young people for university UCAS * Experience and knowledge of BTEC Childcare qualifications Please note: Due to the current global pandemic the majority of our staff are working from home, and may need to do so in combination with working on Campus, for a number of months as per Government guidance. It is therefore highly desirable that Candidates have experience of working from home and utilising video conferencing packages (e.g. Microsoft Teams or Zoom) in order to successfully carry out their role, or it is essential that they can demonstrate the capability to adapt to this and pick up the required Technological knowledge very quickly.
