Senior Full-Stack PHP Developer, City of London

Title: Senior Full Stack PHP Developer Location: Central London (initially remote) Package: 60k - 70k + company benefits Duration: Full-Time, Permanent Industry: Video Streaming Technology People Source Consulting have partnered with an award-winning video streaming technology company to hire a Senior Full Stack PHP Developer. Due to continued success and growth the company are looking for a Senior Full Stack PHP Developer to join their technical team, to work on a variety of features and write clean, test driven, easily maintainable, modular code. Ideal candidates will be accomplished full-stack web application developer's (talented on both frontend and backend). You will be building and developing next-generation rich client media streaming and ad serving applications for a variety of products and customers. The company work with some of the world's leading broadcasters, sports organisations and content owners, redefining how online video is delivered. Required Experience: *5 years' experience as a full-stack PHP developer. *Degree in Computer Science or related field. *Fluent in PHP with some demonstrable commercial experience using the Laravel framework. *Solid understanding of major principles of Object-Oriented Programming. *Understand database design fundamentals, data query, manipulating large datasets and experience with MySQL. *Comfortable with HTML, CSS and JavaScript (experience with Vue.js would be a big plus) *Comfortable with Git version and control management. *Test Driven Development (TDD) with PHPUnit and Jest.js. *Experience with integration of external Services/RESTful APIs. *Proficient at working with, adapting and creating web services REST APIs and versioning. *Good understanding of server-side caching and performance optimisation. *Experience in an Agile environment and using agile tools e.g. Jira and confluence. *Experience with AWS and comfortable with large scale distributed application architecture.
