MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR Job Purpose Support the Maintenance Manager with the day to day running of the Maintenance Department In addition to their trade responsibilities they shall assist in ensuring the high performance of the Maintenance Department in relation to all facilities. That these sites are maintained in a safe, good working order within the constraints set by the Department?s budget and that they are inspected, documented and certified in strict compliance with all applicable statutory legislation and regulations Principal Responsibilities Provide effective Health and Safety supervision during all maintenance tasks by the maintenance team and direct contractors, ensuring all Health & Safety and personnel welfare requirements are met Supervising a team of Technicians, providing effective leadership to assist them in ensuring that the requirements of their respective job specifications are fulfilled and ensuring that they adopt safe working practices Supervising the departments? performance and output to ensure it is efficient and of the highest level at all times Ensure Workmate system is promptly and accurately updated by all disciplines. Review system on a daily basis to prioritise efficient scheduling of routine and corrective work orders Assisting to ensure that all documentation and certification is in place for the installed facilities and that they fully comply with the statutory legislative and regulatory requirements Assisting with reporting, planning, scheduling and implementing, through the supervision of in-house labour and third party labour and services (as required), the normal day to day maintenance activities, shutdown/ turnaround and project related maintenance tasks Supervisory role within the sites Maintenance Management System and assisting to maintain the statutory background and Technical Library Identifying areas for plant improvement and developing project work scopes, schedules Qualifications & Experience 4-5 years maintenance experience on equipment related to the installed instrument and/or electrical equipment in a supervisory capacity Possess instrument qualification (apprenticeship or NVQ level 3) with a good working knowledge in electrical The ability to work on their own or with others, with the minimum of supervision and to assume overall responsibility for the carrying out of routine and non-routine maintenance tasks A sound knowledge of the oil production industry, its operating characteristics and safe working practices Competencies Diligence and reliability Strong problem-solving skills Able to cope with pressured situations Pro-active in achieving results IT literate Miscellaneous Hours of Work: 7.30-4.30 Monday to Friday.
