An exciting new opportunity has arisen to work for a Healthcare organisation who are seeking to appoint an interim Corporate Governance and Assurance Manager. The role will be for 3 months initially though could extend and would be remunerated comparatively at Band 7/Band 8a under AfC/NHSI Agency Caps. Main Responsibilities: Successfully ensure that the Board of Directors and its Committees have professional administration support, following the organisation?s policies and procedures; Attend and minute specified Board level meetings, taking accurate records of discussions and decisions and to ensure they are provided to the Chair within required timescales; Efficiently draft agendas for review by the and ensure a high level of quality assurance about Board and Committee minutes, briefing papers and reports; Coordinate Board and Committee meetings including booking venues and communications with the Chairs, members and attendees; Support risk assurance approaches, particularly in relation to corporate governance frameworks supporting the organisation to achieve its strategic and operational objectives; Develop and maintain risk assurance information, ensuring that this is available and reported in line with agreed timescales, both internally and externally; Prepare action logs and ensure that follow-up action is taken, and that formal decisions of the Board and Committees are appropriately recorded and communicated; Monitor actions and ensure these are scheduled for matters arising or the forward planner as appropriate; Manage record keeping and act as central focal point for requests for access by business user to documents relating to meetings; Efficently provide accurate, detailed, professional advice to senior managers across the organisation in relation to Board and Committee meetings, in respect of the Scheme of Delegation and Terms of Reference. A successful candidate will have: Master?s Degree or equivalent level of knowledge and experience; Broad understanding of the NHS; Ability to forward plan and accurately reflect this in setting the agenda; Advanced keyboard skills as the post holder will be required to type quickly, to format and process documents and presentations to support Committee business; Ability to work to tight deadlines with diplomacy and work under pressure; Ability and experience of working to underpin and support a senior management / executive team.
