Senior Social Worker ~ Adults Team ~ Up To £30 Per Hour, Southwark

Looking for a Social Worker to join a team in Southwark 37 Hours per week. Contract position. Job Summary: Responsible for the provision of a comprehensive and effective integrated social work service at the front door to the Adult Social Care Older Person and Physical Disabilities Service (OPPD) in accordance with current legislation, Council policy and best practice. The post holder operates at the level of an experienced professional in assessment, case planning and review functions of service users. Candidate Profile: - To hold a recognised Social Work qualification. - Knowledge of the key legislation central to the implementation of a professional social work service. - Knowledge of the functions of a Social Services Department and related agencies. - Knowledge of methods to assess performance and the achievement of targets in social work practice. - Knowledge of linking staff training and development to service planning and priorities. - Knowledge and understanding of the current issues in social work practice - To have three years experience of utilising a range of social work skills at post-qualifying level with a local authority or other recognised equivalent agency. - Experience of determining priorities in the implementation of a social work service. - Experience of applying the principles of equal opportunities in social work practice. - Good IT Skills - Good report writing and communication skills The successful candidate will join OPPD Contact team which is our front door service. This service deals with a wide range of initial enquiries and contacts and these are managed by our team of Customer Service Officers. The Senior Practitioners manage the incoming work, answering day to day enquiries, processing safeguarding concerns and supporting and supervising the Customer Service Officers. Why Choose us??????
