Senior Occupational Therapist, Erith

Elliot Scott Group are seeking a Senior Occupational Therapist, to join our clients team providing occupational therapy across multiple sites in Haringey, Erith, Woolwich, Dartford & Newham to adults who reside in community rehabilitation units who present with learning disabilities and complex needs. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously and independently with access to sessional, clinical supervision. Duties will include ? To provide specialised client-centred occupational therapy intervention to clients (aged 16 or over) who are resident in the community and are referred due to complex needs. This includes clients who may present with complex physical, cognitive, psychosocial and emotional needs due to pre-existing complex Learning disability and Autism backgrounds ? To complete comprehensive assessments of clients, using clinical reasoning to select appropriate assessment techniques. ? Produce comprehensive treatment plans suitable to each client by working with the client you will agree appropriate and realistic goals for treatment in order to achieve these goals. ? Deliver client programmes within the care setting that adhere to local and national professional standards whilst keeping the Lead OT informed ? Assist with developing and delivering relevant OT training as part of the internal training programme. To ensure personal training is completed on an annual basis Applicants must be a qualified Occupation Therapist, HCPC registration and membership of the British Association of Occupational Therapists (BAOT). Relevant experience working as an OT, with LD or in a secure setting
