As part of Bouygues Construction's Public Works division, VSL International participates in the construction of major technical structures and guarantees their structural safety and durability: transport infrastructure (bridges, tunnels), industrial and energy production structures, and commercial buildings.

Position
We are seeking a Marketing & Communications Advisor to support the delivery of VSL UKâs marketing and communications activity, contributing to business growth, brand consistency and effective work winning.
This role will support the development of compelling written and visual content across bids, presentations and communications, helping translate technical capability into engaging materials for internal and external audiences. You will work closely with business stakeholders across the UK and coordinate with the VSL International marketing team in Paris to ensure alignment with global brand standards.
This position is ideal for an early-career to mid-level marketing and communications professional looking to build experience across work winning, digital content, brand communications and stakeholder engagement within a major infrastructure environment. Main Responsibilities Work Winning & Bid Support
Support the preparation of bids through development of written content, case studies and supporting materials

Assist in ensuring consistency of messaging, tone and branding across submissions

Maintain and update bid collateral including CVs, project sheets and boilerplate content

Support the development of materials that strengthen positioning and contribute to successful work winning activity Presentations & Visual Content
Support the development of high-quality, visually engaging presentations for senior leadership and client-facing opportunities

Assist in translating technical and commercial information into clear, structured slide decks

Maintain and apply presentation templates in line with brand standards

Support continuous improvement in presentation quality and visual consistency Marketing & Communications Delivery
Support the implementation of the VSL UK marketing and communications plan

Assist business lines with day-to-day marketing needs and outputs

Contribute to improving the consistency and quality of marketing materials

Support internal and external communications initiatives aligned with business priorities Social Media & Content Creation
Create and schedule content for LinkedIn and other relevant platforms

Support both internal and external communications, including newsletters, announcements and campaign content

Capture and promote project stories, achievements and key milestones

Contribute to content planning and audience engagement across channels Digital & Brand Support
Assist in maintaining and updating website content in line with SEO and brand guidelines

Ensure alignment with Bouygues and VSL International brand standards

Support basic performance tracking and reporting where required

Contribute to maintaining consistency across digital and printed communications Stakeholder Engagement & Support
Support coordination with the VSL International marketing team in Paris

Liaise with internal stakeholders to gather information and develop content

Assist in managing approvals and content flow across the business

Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to support communications outputs Continuous Improvement
Maintain an organised library of marketing materials and evidence

Support ad hoc marketing, communications and business development activities as required

Contribute to continuous improvement of templates, processes and outputs

Stay up to date with relevant tools, technologies and communications best practices Education
Degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design or a related discipline preferred Experience
Experience in a marketing and/or communications role, ideally within construction, engineering or a technical environment

Experience supporting presentations, visual content or communications campaigns

Exposure to social media content management and digital communications

Experience supporting bids, proposals or work winning activity desirable

Experience working with stakeholders across multidisciplinary or international teams desirable

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Technical Skills
Strong written communication skills with the ability to adapt tone for different audiences

Proficiency in Canva, PowerPoint and/or other design software

Experience managing or contributing to social media content, particularly LinkedIn

Familiarity with website/CMS platforms and basic SEO understanding desirable

Awareness of social value frameworks such as TOMs desirable

Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and brand consistency
