This Explosive safe Sirius jerry can is the 20 litre yellow variant. Based on the original design, with several modern refinements, these cans are manufactured to a high standard and every can is tested before it leaves the factory to ensure it matches requirements for safety, performance and durability. Sirius explosive safe Jerry cans are suitable for storing, carrying and pouring a wide range of fuels, including petrol including E10 petrol, diesel, kerosene and oil but please note they are not suitable for water. The interior has a petrol, oil and alcohol resistant lining which prevents rusting over long term use, and the durable steel construction will withstand accidental impacts and falls without cracking or bursting. Additionally, a locking pin in the cap prevents the contents from spilling out if the can is knocked over. The bayonet closure is completely leakproof with the can in any position. The Explosive Safe fuel can has all the safety features of our traditional Jerry Cans with the addition of an innovative aluminium mesh inside. This incredibly fine honeycomb structure takes up just 2% of the total volume, and serves to dissipate heat within the can so that the fuel inside will not ignite explosively in the unlikely event of it being exposed to sparks or naked flames. The can is fully filled, and the pressure inside the can increased to 2.5 Bar and monitored for 5 minutes with no air leaks. ADR Regulated Leak proofness test (Leak Proof) test. The Can is fully submerged in a tank of water and the pressure inside increased to 0.3 Bar and monitored for 5 minutes with no leaks. Drop tested from a height of 1.8 meters.
