Quantitative Developer - eTrading Platform - LondonAbout the RoleAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quantitative Developer to join a leading financial institution in London. This role focuses on the design and development of the next-generation eTrading platform within the bank's Global Markets division. This is a globally oriented position that empowers you to work on cutting-edge trading solutions and make a critical impact within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities:Contribute to the development and enhancement of the core trading algorithmic platform in line with the business's evolving needs.Define and implement monitoring tools to track platform performance, both in general and in real time.Continuously identify and propose innovative solutions to improve the eTrading platform and address cross-organisational challenges.Build and promote a cross-asset Research&Development framework in collaboration with international teams.Collaborate with management to define specifications for new projects and estimate implementation costs.Lead the delivery of non-routine tasks and mentor junior colleagues within the team.Act as a key stakeholder in critical projects, such as exchange interactivity and onboarding initiatives.Promote best practices in platform usage and assist in resolving production-level issues when needed.Your Skills and QualificationsExceptional programming skills, particularly in Java and Python, with demonstrable experience in an industrial context.Expert-level experience in eTrading quantitative development within Global Markets.Strong problem-solving capabilities and an ability to proactively identify areas for development.Advanced relationship management and communication skills to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.A track record of leading projects and delivering innovative quantitative solutions.A postgraduate degree (e.g., MSc or PhD) in Computing Science or a related quantitative discipline.
