What You Will Do

• Work collaboratively within theHistopathology laboratory teamto deliver high-quality diagnostic services.
• Carry outroutine histological techniques and laboratory processesunder supervision of senior staff.
• Participate in all technical and scientific aspects of histology work in line withstandard operating procedures.
• Receive, accession, and accurately log specimens, ensuring fulltraceability.
• Performspecimen processingincluding fixation, embedding, microtomy, and H&E staining.
• Prepare tissue sections, mount slides, and assist withspecial stains and immunohistochemistryas required.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and supportquality controlprocesses.
• Ensure compliance withlaboratory safety, governance, and quality standards, including ISO and HTA requirements.

What We're Looking For
Essential

• HCPC registrationas a Biomedical Scientist.
• Experience working in ahistology / histopathology laboratory.
• Knowledge of histological techniques and laboratory workflows.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and patient safety.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Desirable

• Experience in special stains and/or immunohistochemistry.
• Previous NHS or UK laboratory experience.
