Step Into Teaching are supporting a secondary school in Lambeth and surrounding areas who are seeking Maths graduates to work as teaching assistants.

• Graduate Maths Teaching Assistant in a Secondary School
• Full-time role, Monday - Friday
• £565.00 - £575.00 per week (term time only)
• Starting in September for the full 2025/26 academic year.
• Chance to gain invaluable classroom experience before teacher training

We are a pre teacher training programme that is designed to support and encourage graduates like yourself to choose to teach. We will typically provide you with one years’ worth of practical school-based experience that is an essential foundation for a long-lasting successful career in teaching, educational psychology or counselling. This experience will allow you to qualify for teacher training in the future but will also give you insight into whether teaching is for you.

• Hold a degree in MATHS or related with a 2:1 or above.
• Be supportive, friendly, and approachable
• Be resilient and motivated to support and inspire students to reach their full potential and achieve excellence.
• Be able to take direction and take initiative when required
• Hold excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Have a creative and reflective mindset within the classroom
• Be able to deliver well-structured support sessions to individuals and prepare classroom materials
